I finally did something other than Noah’s Ark. As a joke I was going to make a third Ark, but I doubt anyone would find it funny.
Anyway, I built Solomon’s Temple this time. It was much more complicated than the Ark, and as such mine isn’t very good. So while I will show you my Solomon’s Temple, I will also share with you the video I based mine on. It’s a better video, and I recommend everyone watch that one instead.
A couple years ago, I build Noah’s Ark in Minecraft. But I’ve always been disappointed with it. I tried doing it to the specifications in the Bible, but I took way too many creative liberties. Plus, I didn’t have a way to record gameplay off my Xbox 360, so I set up my tripod and filmed the screen. Which looked awful. Not to mention that the draw distance on the 360 version of Minecraft was so small that you couldn’t see the entire boat.
Well, I have an Xbox One now, and I decided to rebuild Noah’s Ark in the Xbox One version of Minecraft. The draw distance is much greater, and the Xbox One has the ability to record gameplay. This time I stuck to the specifications in the Bible. The only real “creative liberty” I did was adding lights to the interior. Trust me, it was necessary. If I didn’t, the inside would be pitch black. Other than that, it’s pretty much exactly as described in Scripture. Here is the video:
Have you ever played a video game called Minecraft? If not, I highly recommend it. Especially if you are the creative type. I have recreated Noah’s Ark based on the dimensions given in the Bible. It’s much bigger than I could have anticipated. Here is a video of it for those interested. I don’t have a way of recording the gameplay from my Xbox 360, so I had to setup my tripod and film the TV screen.
