10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
The Catholics worships Mary. As GotQuestions.org says, “There is nothing wrong with honoring Mary as the earthly mother of Jesus. The Bible describes Mary as “highly favored” by God (Luke 1:28). At the same time, there is no instruction in the Bible to revere those whom have gone to Heaven. We are to follow their example, yes, but worship, revere, or venerate, no!” Nowhere in scripture does it tell us to pray to or worship anyone else but God.
Catholics believe in Purgatory, which is where they believe you go after you die to cleanse the sins that weren’t cleansed on Earth. Meaning that according to Catholic belief, Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross wasn’t good enough, you have to suffer yourself to be cleansed of your own sins. this goes against everything that the Bible teaches. It’s made very clear that Jesus died for everyone, and for all sins.
The Catholic Church reads in Latin. While this may not sound like a big deal, there’s actually a verse that forbids praying and teaching in an unknown language.
Catholics look up to the pope for guidance, and they pray to him, kiss his ring, and consider him the earthly messenger of God (who was voted in by a counsel of humans). This, of course, goes against everything Jesus taught. In fact, Jesus forbade such a figure. It’s made very clear that Jesus is the head of the Church. Also, Catholics claim that Peter was the first pope. However, there is no biblical evidence of this, nor that Peter ever even went to Rome.
Catholics worship the crucifix, among other “holy” objects. Yet there is a certain one of the Ten Commandments that the Catholics need to reread.
4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
The Catholic Church canonizes saints. But the Bible calls everyone who is a follower of Christ a saint.
Catholics attend mass daily to offer up “sacrifice” every day. But the bible clearly states that Jesus’ sacrifice was the only one that we shall ever need.
Rosaries are a pagan ritual.
There is a long list of other proofs that Catholicism is a false religion.
So what does the falsehoods of Catholicism have to do with the Fig Tree Reborn? All throughout the Bible, there is prophesied a false religion that will rise up that will claim to be the one true church of Christ, but really be blasphemous. this religion will be the basis of a one-world religion. there is more than enough evidence that points to Catholicism being the false religion mentioned in the Bible. Pope Francis will be the final pope. I shall end this here, with the words of Mary, proving she is not the one to be worshiped.
46 And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, 47 And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour. 48 For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed. 49 For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is his name.
[update]
This post seems to upset people more than any other post I’ve done. I’ve had people claim I’m saying that their Catholic relatives who have passed on are burning in hell because they were Catholic. I did not say that. So I feel this post warrants an update, to clarify…
As I pointed out in
this post, the only thing that really matters between each denominations is that you accept Christ as your Lord and Saviour. Catholics do believe that Jesus is the Messiah. But a large part of their religion is added to and goes against Scripture. Like graven images, praying to saints, and everything about the Vatican.
But not everyone who calls themselves Catholic pray to saints or considers the pope valid. So it’s still possible to be Catholic and be saved. Just I’d be careful which traditions you practice if you choose to go that route.
