Destruction of Gaza

Zephaniah 2:4-5 (KJV)

For Gaza shall be forsaken, and Ashkelon a desolation: they shall drive out Ashdod at the noon day, and Ekron shall be rooted up. Woe unto the inhabitants of the sea coast, the nation of the Cherethites! the word of the Lord is against you; O Canaan, the land of the Philistines, I will even destroy thee, that there shall be no inhabitant.

Hey, wait a second. Was that Bible scripture or today’s headline? That just said that Gaza will be destroyed! That no one will survive it’s destruction!

What was that one part? “Ashkelon a desolation“? What’s Ashkelon and has there been any destruction there? Well, yes! There has! Just three days ago, in fact. It also mentions Ashdod  being driven out. Well, not even a month ago, both places were named together in a deadline about attacks and sirens. Seems Ashkelon is getting a lot of the missiles from Gaza.

I’ve been studying Gaza’s fate during the Last Days and the scripture about it reads like the headlines.

Isaiah 14:29 (KJV)

29 Rejoice not thou, whole Palestina, because the rod of him that smote thee is broken: for out of the serpent’s root shall come forth a cockatrice, and his fruit shall be a fiery flying serpent.

How would Isaiah know that missiles would someday be a thing unless God told him.

Isaiah 17:1 (KJV)

17 The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.

Well lookie here.

I know I keep saying this, but these Bible verses read like headlines today. Shakespeareanized headlines.

1 Thessalonians 5:3 (KJV)

For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

Gaza death toll tops 500 as calls for ceasefire fall on deaf ears

Zechariah 12:3 (KJV)

And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.

Zechariah 14:2 (KJV)

For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.

That always confused me. How could all nations come against Israel. What would cause that. I mean, I knew the surrounding nations want to destroy itt, but not all nations. It didn’t make any sense. Before July 2014.

Israel has broken international law by striking Gaza. Israel hate is now the IN thing. While Israel did break international law, it was the law of man, not the Law of God. So if you feel tempted to join in the mocking and hatred of Israel, just remember God’s promise to Abraham…

Genesis 12:3 (KJV)

And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
